4/7/ · Steam Workshop not installing or downloading. For the past few days the Steam Workshop has not installed any mods. I have subscribed to a few and it will instantly say that the mod is downloaded in the Downloads menu but will not appear in game. Steam Workshop mods not downloading. I have Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition bought on steam and already installed. I've subscribed to multiple mods on the steam workshop. If I go to my own steam profile and click "my workshop" then "subscribed items" I can see the mods in there that I have selected. (So far just SMIM and "Relighting. Even if I unsub and resub to a mod I already have, nothing happens. Mods that I don't have already, seem to download just fine after I subscribe to them. Oh, and all of this is happening since a while back a bunch of the mods stopped working, basicly making the cities I have unplayable, they work fine now. But the mods aren't updating to newer versions, hence can't play my current cities, and well, I can't play with the mods either, since the old versions that I have, since no update download are unplayable, I'm kind of stuck.
Even tried reinstalling the game but nothing happened. So what to do? All drivers etc are up to date. A friendly person over at steam forums helped me solve this. Seems like I needed to check the game cache. Sort of off the wall solution.
